Located in 43 Luong Quan Street, Thuy Bieu Ward, the house was built in 1920 in a garden with total area of 3,212 sqm
The main structure is a folkhouse comprising of three compartments, multi-layered earthen tile roofs, surroundedbrick walls. Especially, in front of the main building there is an ancient-styled double roofstructure.
The folkhouse is delicately arranged and harmoniously blended with the surrounding settings according to feng shui principles and Oriental philosophy with a front masonry screen and water feature (lotus lake and fish pond). The house still preserves its wooden pillars with intricately carved trusses, beams, partitions, along with horizontal lacquered boards, inscribed parallel sentences and scrolls. In front of the house there is a huge fengshui fish pond and a large brick screen, to improve feng shui energy, as well as enhance the aesthetic values of the building.
The house is surrounded by a garden with a variety of fruit trees such as Dragon fruit, Pomelo, Grapefruit, Baccaurea and so on.
This garden house was repaired for the first time in 1971. By 2015, the house was comprehensively renovated with a total cost of nearly VND 300 million, of which the state budget contributedVND 160 million.
After two restorations, the house still keeps rather well its original appearance, from the exterior settings, to the interior layout and worshippingarrangements inside.
